Appraiser II Commercial
The Palm Beach County Property Appraiser’s Office in West Palm Beach, Florida has an open Commercial Appraiser II position. The position is non-exempt and requires moderately complex appraisal duties with moderate supervision to prepare an annual county-wide real property assessment roll. A minimum three years of varied improved property appraisal experience is required. The salary range is $43,800 to $65,700.
The position also requires periodic on-site inspections, the ability to maintain accurate records, and work with property owners, builders and developers. You will be required to defend and support values at Value Adjustment Board hearings.
Minimum education requirements include a high school degree or recognized equivalent. The candidate must also hold at least one of the following: Certified Florida Evaluator (CFE), a professional appraisal designation, or a State Registered Trainee license. You must have a valid Florida driver’s license, vehicle insurance, a good driving record; you are required to maintain these requirements while employed in this position.

COMMERCIAL/RESIDENTIAL APPRAISER
Location: Kendall/South Dade
General Guidelines of Duties:
- Maintaining a timely flow of appraisal responsible for reviewing appraisals for reasonableness and regulatory compliance.
- Will review appraisals for high dollar amount loans, construction and complex properties.
- Keep senior management informed of potential market changes.
- Preparing analysis of real estate valuation through various market studies to prove strengths and weaknesses with the market parameters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related field Business Banking or Finance 5-10 years of experience directly related to this field or an equivalent combination.
- Florida State Certified General Appraiser
- Understanding of alternative valuations products such as AVM, Fraud and Risk Modeling and Broker Price Opinions.
- Must have a current knowledge of techniques for reviewing/methodologies for approving appraisals process.
Salary: $80,000 to $120,000 with a full benefit package.

Position: Associate - Consulting and Valuation Analyst
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree with a major in either hospitality, business / finance, or real estate;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Solid analytical skills;
- Strong writing skills;
- Self motivated/self-starter;
- Work environment is deadline oriented and high-energy;
- Must have an ability to travel regularly (including internationally) for projects;
- Must have a driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities:
This successful candidate will be trained and responsible for the preparation of feasibility studies and appraisal reports for hotel, motel and resort properties. The preparation of reports includes:
- Fieldwork
- Travel;
- Property inspections;
- Area interviews;
- Analysis
- Review of property's financial statements and other relevant documents;
- Use of Microsoft Excel models and in-house databases;
- Report Writing
- Use of Microsoft Word;
- Includes developing graphics/maps and formatting;
- Requires strong writing skills.
- The position requires travel throughout North America and the Caribbean.

Thomson Reuters has one of the largest property tax services organizations in the nation. We have a need for a Consultant in our Plantation, FL office. In this exciting position you will help your clients reduce their property tax burden, whether it entails multimillion square foot distribution facilities in multiple states, a single apartment building, an entire nuclear power plant or a single piece of personal property, such as an ATM.
The Consultant is a client service professional who will be integrated into one of the three property tax service offerings and reports directly to senior consultant or above on their engagements. This individual is responsible for initial return preparation and valuation analysis, as well as property tax research and gathering other pertinent information for time sensitive projects.
- Bachelor's degree required. Preference in Real Estate, Accounting or Finance
- One or more years of tax experience preferred. Ideally in property tax.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Outlook, Basic MS Excel, Service line software specific to specialty area (AtlasTax, etc.)
